Last week, I had the opportunity to join Republicans from across Hinds County at the Governor’s Mansion for the Hinds County Republican Club’s End of Summer Social. What an incredible turnout with over 150 people came together with a shared purpose: building a stronger Republican presence in our county and preparing for the work ahead.

It was encouraging to see so many familiar faces and meet new ones who are eager to get involved. Events like this remind us that our strength is in our unity and in the grassroots energy of our communities.

Looking ahead, the Club has announced its Fall & Winter Happy Hour schedule, which will kick off on Tuesday, September 9th at 5:30 p.m. at The Iron Horse Grill. I’m honored to be the keynote speaker that evening and will share some of my experiences in the legislature, as well as a preview of the upcoming 2026 session.  (I will keep it short).

These gatherings are open to anyone who wants to attend, and I encourage you to bring a friend. The conversations we’re having now will set the stage for the policies and priorities that shape Mississippi’s future.

I’m grateful to the Hinds County Republican Club for their leadership and for providing opportunities to bring people together. I look forward to seeing many of you Tuesday at The Iron Horse Grill.
