Representative Clay Mansell Authors Resolution Honoring Celeste Lay

The Mississippi House of Representatives recently recognized Celeste Lay, Miss Queen of the South 2025, for her outstanding work in adoption advocacy through her nonprofit organization, The Chosen Project.

The resolution, authored by Representative Clay Mansell (District 56), commends Lay for her efforts to support adoptive families and raise awareness across Mississippi. Through her leadership, The Chosen Project has provided vital resources to families and helped expand the conversation around adoption throughout the state.

Lay currently attends the University of Mississippi, where she is active in student leadership and community service.
