One of the best parts of representing this area is getting to see projects from start to finish.
I had the opportunity to attend the groundbreaking for Salad Days’ hydroponic greenhouse in Flora, and this week, I was proud to be back for the ribbon cutting as they officially opened their new facility.
Salad Days is bringing a modern approach to agriculture to Madison County through hydroponic growing, allowing fresh produce to be grown year-round in a controlled environment. This type of investment strengthens our local food supply while also creating jobs and supporting continued economic growth in our area.
It is always rewarding to see an idea move from early planning stages to a completed project that will have a real, lasting impact on the community. Projects like this are a great example of the kind of thoughtful, forward-looking economic development that continues to move Madison County and District 56 in the right direction.
